We consider three basic factors to classify the color in Gemstones, i.e. Hue, Saturation and Tone.
- Hue is the color range i.e. Red, Green, Blue, Orange Purple etc.
- Saturation is the intensity of the hue present in the Gemstone i.e. 100% is the pure color or 0% is the gray.
- Tone is how light or dark a Gemstone is i.e. very light (closer to white range) or (very dark (closer to black range)
